Buying Microsoft Looks Like A Smart Deal

By

Investors looking for a stock that has potential to double should look at Microsoft. The personal computer and software giant is said to be going into the world of phones by contributing their windows operating system to Nokia phone technology. Microsoft is currently involved in the manufacture, service and sales of software programs used for personal and business computers.

On February 13, 2011, the phone giant Nokia reported that Microsoft won against Google in their bidding for supplying Nokia with windows software. The part that might make Microsoft stock jump is that Nokia has hinted that their first phones using windows phone software might be marketed during 2011. The information was let out of the bag by Stephen Elop a Nokia CEO who used to work for Microsoft. Speaking from Barcelona, Stephen Elop said that Nokia would begin to manufacture phones using the windows mobile operating system.

That news alone might make Microsoft stock more interesting to investors. Adding more information about the new phone, Jo Harlow, another Nokia executive, showed drawings of the proposed new computer technology installed Nokia phone and said that plans are to begin making the new phone right away to ensure that it is on the market during 2011.

Nokia hopes to get its share of the market that is using computer technology in conjunction with its cell phone service. The announcement acknowledged that Google had bid and lost in trying to get their Android technology into Nokia phone systems.

According to Stephen Elop, his working for Microsoft and now working for Nokia did not influence Nokia in accepting Microsoft’s bid to provide windows software to be installed on a Nokia phone. The interest in the working controversy was addressed by Stephen Elop when he spoke to the media regarding Nokia’s latest project, the Nokia with windows software phone. More information from Nokia is that it is continuing its research and interest in using computer software programs in its Nokia phones.
